Laos extends condolences to Việt Nam over former Party leader’s death

VIENTIANE — The Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Co妹妹ittee, the National Assembly, Government, and the Lao Front for National Construction’s Central Co妹妹ittee yesterday extended condolences to the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam (CPV) Central Co妹妹ittee, National Assembly, Government and the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Co妹妹ittee over the passing of Đỗ Mười, former General Secretary of the CPV Central Co妹妹ittee.
“We highly value the achievements and great contributions of Comrade Đỗ Mười during the struggle for national independence in the past, as well as in the nation-building and construction of the country during the 八0-plus years of his revolutionary career,” read the message.
It also highlighted the contributions that Đỗ Mười made to the reinforcement of friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.
The passing away of Đỗ Mười is the loss of a close friend of the Party, State, and people of Laos, it added. The Lao side also extended deep condolences to the family of Đỗ Mười.
